Toyota: total group sales down 12% in February

(CercleFinance.com) - The Toyota Group reports sales of 753,648 vehicles in February, down 12% y-o-y.


In detail, sales of the Toyota brand fell by 6.9% (to 719,630 vehicles), while those of Daihatsu plunged by 65.5% (24,753 vehicles) and those of Hino fell by 18%, to 9,265 vehicles.

Regarding production, the group announced 789,138 vehicles in February, down 12.1%, with -2.6% for the Toyota brand (737,178 vehicles), -66.6% for Daihatsu (42,145 units) and -32.4% for Hino (9815 units produced).

Lastly, the Group reports that it exported 153,527 vehicles in February, up 5.7% y-o-y, thanks to the dynamic performance of the Toyota brand (+7.7%, to 150,565 units) and despite the downturn at Hino (-46.2%, to 2,962 units).
