Vodafone: EU clears Vantage Towers deal

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control of Vantage Towers AG by Vodafone Group, Global Infrastructure Management (GIP) and KKR.


Vantage Towers, which is currently solely controlled by Vodafone, is a provider of telecommunication infrastructure hosting services to customers, such as mobile network operators and broadcasters in a number of Member States and the UK.

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not give rise to any competition concerns as the transaction does not give rise to any horizontal overlaps or vertical links between the activities of Vantage Towers on the one hand, and the activities of KKR and GIP, on the other.
