AstraZeneca: to open research centre in Cambridge

(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca will today unveil its new Discovery Centre (DISC) in the UK city of Cambridge, a state-of-the-art R&D facility that will house more than 2,200 researchers while meeting the highest environmental standards in the world.


The 1 billion pound facility will use the most advanced robotics technology, high-throughput screening and AI-based technologies.

The group said that the facility will enable it to advance its understanding of the biology of disease, bring life-changing medicines to patients and fuel the next stage of its growth.
