bp: takes stake in Digital Charging Solutions

(CercleFinance.com) - Daimler announces that bp has become the third largest shareholder of Digital Charging Solutions (DCS) following a successful merger-acquisition.


DCS is now equally owned by Daimler Mobility, BMW Group and bp, which have a third each.

DCS offers state-of-the-art solutions to provide electric vehicle drivers with seamless access to over 300,000 charging points in 30 countries.

The addition of bp will provide DCS customers with access to an additional 9,000 charging points across Europe.

Globally, bp aims to expand its network of public charging points for electric vehicles to more than 70,000 worldwide by 2030.

Shares in Daimler (+1.5%), BMW (+0.5%) and bp (+1.5%) are all up on Thursday afternoon.
