Spie: medium-voltage substation contract in Germany

(CercleFinance.com) - Spie has been awarded a contract to install a new medium-voltage substation for its customer Bodensee-Wasserversorgung, a drinking water production plant that supplies four million people in Baden-Württemberg.


The 6 kV medium-voltage substation will be built on the site of the Sipplinger Berg drinking water plant in Überlingen.

It will supply the site with renewable energy from the plant's photovoltaic roof. Work began in the spring of 2022 and is set to be completed in the autumn of 2023. Spie has also been commissioned to replace 25 electrical protection devices to ensure grid stability within the facility.
