Elior: H1 sales down 5%

(CercleFinance.com) - The services and catering group iElior says that, on a preliminary basis, its H1 2019-20 sales came in at 2,459 million euros, down 5.
2% overall and down 6.2% on an organic basis.

Excluding the effects of the coronavirus, strikes in France, the voluntary termination of contracts in Italy and the reduction in the scope of the Tesco contract in the UK, the group nevertheless estimates that organic growth would have been +1.5%.

Adjusted EBITA from continuing operations amounted to 51 million euros for the six months to 31 March 2020, down 71 million euros, leading to an adjusted EBITA margin of 2.1%, compared to 4.7% in H1 2018-19.
