Neoen: new green energy contract in Finland

(CercleFinance.com) - Neoen has signed a power purchase agreement for at least 30 MW of green energy in Finland, with Equinix, a global leader in digital infrastructure.


Equinix will buy 85% of the green electricity and guarantees of origin produced by the Björkliden wind farm in Finland for 10 years.

The wind farm will have 7 turbines with a total capacity of at least 35 MW and will be 80%-owned by Neoen and 20%-owned by Prokon. Construction is scheduled to start in 2023, with commissioning planned for 2024.

This is the seventh green electricity contract signed by Neoen in Finland since 2018.
