Getlink: revenues fall 24% in 2020

(CercleFinance.com) - Getlink has reported revenues of 815.
9 million euros for its financial year 2020, down 24% at constant exchange rates, including Eurotunnel revenues of 692.6 million euros (-27%) and Europorte revenues of 122.7 million euros (-3%).

Within Eurotunnel, revenue from shuttle services fell by 17%, while that of the rail network slumped 48%, due to the sharp reduction in journeys made in the context that was badly affected by the health crisis and lockdowns imposed by authorities.

Meanwhile, Europorte was supported by the strong demand for additional last-minute trains to transport products needed for the manufacture of hydro-alcoholic gel, as well as the start-up of new national and international traffic.
