Alstom: launch of an innovative Eurobalise

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announces a pioneering Eurobalise (a safety-critical device that transmits data from track to train) that incorporates simplified ERTMS encoding functionality to serve multiple use cases.

Alstom has received a first firm order for this product from Infrabel, the Belgian rail network operator, for 50 units and maintenance services over 20 years, with the potential to extend to 100 units.
