Alstom: launches innovative Eurobalise

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announces a pioneering Eurobalise (a safety-critical device transmitting data from track to train) that incorporates simplified ERTMS encoding functionality to serve multiple use cases.


It says that this innovative solution represents a major step forward in the evolution of rail safety standards, addressing the critical need for increased safety during track work: it also highlights its ease of installation.

Alstom has received a first firm order for this product from Infrabel, the Belgian rail network's operator, for 50 units and maintenance services over 20 years, with the potential to extend to 100 units.
