Alstom: tram order from Île-de-France

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announced on Friday evening that it had been chosen by Île-de-France Mobilités and RATP to supply the new trams for the T1 line in Île-de-France (the first built, after 35 years of absence, opened in 1992), replacing its current trams.


The firm order, for 37 Citadis X05 tramsets, worth around 130 million euros, is accompanied by an optional tranche of 83 trams to reinforce the transport offer and meet the needs of the line's extension.

33 metres long and 2.40 metres wide, the new trams will be able to accommodate 15% more passengers than the current trams. They will also be 100% accessible to all passengers.
