Engie: financing of renewable energy projects completed in the USA

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday, Engie announced that its North American subsidiary had recently completed over $1 billion in financing for six renewable energy projects in the United States.


Engie North America states that this transaction, its largest ever fundraising, took the form of a tax equity financing agreement with J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs and BNP Paribas.

The proceeds of the transaction will enable Engie to complete 950 MW of solar projects and 353 MW of wind projects, representing a total capacity of over 1.3 GW.

Engie has set itself the target of installing 4 GW of additional renewable energy capacity per year by 2025, in particular through its expansion in North America.
