Seb: acquires Sofilac

(CercleFinance.com) - Seb announced Thursday evening that it had completed the acquisition of Sofilac, a French company specializing in the manufacture of upmarket cooking equipment.


The household appliance group states that the transaction is part of its strategy to become a benchmark player in professional equipment markets.

Founded at the end of the 18th century, Sofilac produces 'premium' professional and semi-professional cooking equipment, notably under the Lacanche and Charvet brands.

Present in over 45 countries worldwide, the company has annual sales of E62m and 360 employees.

Seb explains that Sofilac will now be able to draw on the strength of its group, both in France and internationally, thereby accelerating its development.
