Thales: develops contract with Northrop Grumman

(CercleFinance.com) - Northrop Grumman has confirmed that Thales Alenia Space is a reference partner to deliver the Pressurised Cargo Modules (PCM) for the 18th and 19th Cygnus missions.


This contract extension will play a key role in future space exploration programs.

Cygnus consists of two main components: a Service Module, manufactured by Northrop Grumman, and a Pressurised Cargo Module (PCM), developed and manufactured by Thales Alenia Space since the program's launch.

To date, fifteen operational cargo modules and one demonstrator have been successfully launched, four of which are in the original version and eleven in the optimised version.
