Danone: Q1 sales down over 2%

(CercleFinance.com) - Danone has posted sales of E6.
79bn for Q1 2024, down 2.5% due to strongly negative scope (-5%) and currency (-3.2%) effects, and despite a positive contribution of +1.7% from hyperinflation.

Sales rose by 4.1% LFL, driven by a +1.2% contribution from volume/mix and a +2.9% price effect. This growth was driven in particular by the water product category (+8.1%).

Danone confirms its targets for FY 2024, i.e. LFL sales growth of +3% to +5%, and a moderate improvement in its operating margin before non-recurring items.
