TotalEnergies: agreement with the United Arab Emirates

(CercleFinance.com) - Following the 2nd plenary meeting of the Franco-Emirati High-Level Business Council in Paris, TotalEnergies announces the signature of a memorandum of understanding establishing the Franco-Emirati Bilateral Investment Platform for Climate.


This pragmatic framework will enable investors from both countries to accelerate the deployment of joint projects and investments of common interest in the field of clean energies, with a particular focus on decarbonization of the so-called difficult sectors", TotalEnergies emphasizes.

Bruno Le Maire, French Minister of the Economy, who attended the meeting alongside Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies and Chairman and CEO of ADNOC, and Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies, added that 'the shared ambition is to develop very concrete joint projects to contribute to the strategic objectives of our two countries in terms of innovation, industrial development and ecological transition.

TotalEnergies and Masdar (an Emirati state-owned renewable energy company) have also signed a memorandum of understanding to partner in wind and solar projects in emerging markets.
