TotalEnergies: three agreements against methane emissions

(CercleFinance.com) - At a round table on the elimination of methane emissions by 2030, on invitation of the COP28 presidency, TotalEnergies announces the signature of three cooperation agreements with national oil and gas companies.


These agreements - with Petrobras, SOCAR and Sonangol - aim to deploy methane emission detection and measurement campaigns using AUSEA technology on oil and gas installations in Brazil, Azerbaijan and Angola respectively.

AUSEA's drone-mounted gas sensor, developed by TotalEnergies and its R&D partners, is currently one of the world's most accurate technologies for detecting and measuring methane emissions', the French oil and gas group said.
