TotalEnergies: solar power plant commissioned in Japan

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies announces that it has commissioned a 51 megawatt (MW) solar power plant in Tsu, Japan, which will supply electricity to a subsidiary of the regional utility company.


Built in two years, the Haze solar power plant is operated with nearly 100,000 high-efficiency solar panels. The supports and foundations for the solar panels have been designed to take into account the risk of earthquakes and typhoons.

The plant covers an area of nearly 77 hectares and will provide enough clean and reliable electricity to power nearly 20,000 homes through a power purchase agreement lasting over 17 years.
