Nexans: major contract with TenneT in North Sea

(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans has announced that it has been awarded a framework agreement by TenneT, the electricity transmission network operator in the Netherlands and large parts of Germany, a contract that it has described as the largest in its history.


It will be responsible for three projects to connect the future BalWin 3, LanWin 4 and LanWin 2 wind farms in the German North Sea to the mainland, with an initial value of E1.7bn for cables and their installation alone.

The cable supplier will carry out the entire EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation) turnkey contract, including civil works for more than 2,160 km of submarine and land cables.
