Nexans: organic growth reaches 7.7% in Q1

(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans announces Q1 2019 sales of 1,664 million euros, against 1,538 million a year ago.
At constant metal prices, sales reached 1.110 million euros, including organic growth of +7.7%.

The group posted organic growth of +10.1% in cables and wires, although a sharp contraction in high voltage and projects (-8%), particularly reflecting a weak industrial load in the terrestrial sector (-21.1%).

However, Nexans boasts a good order book in all areas since the beginning of the year and says that its "New Nexans" 2019-2021 plan, launched in November 2018, is in line with the schedule that was initially established.
