Siemens Gamesa: wins orders in Morocco and US

(CercleFinance.com) - Spanish-based wind turbine maker Siemens Gamesa on Wednesday said that it has won an order for a wind farm located in southern Morocco.


The company, formed by the merger of Siemens' wind power unit with Spain's Gamesa, said it has been selected by Moroccan energy firm Nareva and Italy's Enel Green Power to provide 87 turbines for the 850 megawatt Boujdour wind farm.

The project's commissioning, which includes a five-year service agreement, is scheduled for the third quarter of 2022.

Yesterday Siemens Gamesa said it had been awarded two new onshore wind project sites in Texas with a total installed capacity of 325 MW, including the supply of 65 wind turbines.
