Carlsberg: raises target earnings for 2022

(CercleFinance.com) - Danish brewer Carlsberg has raised its operating profit target for 2022, notably on the back of a "solid" level of activity in July.


The Copenhagen based group said that it now expects 5% to 10% organic growth in operating profit for the full year, against a previous forecast of between -1% and +7%, excluding Ukraine.

In its press release, Carlsberg states that its new forecasts include the impact of the war in Ukraine, which has resulted in partial suspensions in production in the country.

Operationally, the group justifies its target increase by better-than-expected performance, in particular thanks to the recovery of consumption in cafés and restaurants in Europe and by solid results in several Asian countries.
