Volkswagen: outlook confirmed for 2024

(CercleFinance.com) - Volkswagen posted sales of E158.
8bn in H1 2024, up on H1 2023 (E156.3bn).

Q2 sales amounted to E83.3bn, while operating profit was E5.5bn.

Operating profit was E10.1bn in H1 2024, down 11% on H1 2023 (E11.3bn): its operating margin was 6.3%.

VW sold 4.3 million vehicles in H1 2024, slightly below H1 2023 (4.4 million vehicles). Vehicle order intake in Western Europe was up slightly in H1 2024.

The Volkswagen Group expects y-o-y sales growth of up to 5% in 2024. Operating return on sales for the Volkswagen Group and the passenger car business is expected to be between 6.5% and 7%. Automotive net cash flow in 2024 is expected between E2.5bn and E4.5bn, management says.
