Volkswagen: pre-sales open for Passat eHybrid

(CercleFinance.com) - Volkswagen is expanding the range of powertrains available for the new Passat with the opening, from today, of pre-sales for two new eHybrid models.


The rechargeable hybrid powertrains deliver a combined output of 150 kW (204 hp) and 200 kW (272 hp) for 'a maximum range of over 120 km in all-electric mode, and over 140 km in city driving', says the manufacturer.

Two new turbo diesel (TDI) engines are also available: the 90 kW (122 hp) Passat TDI will be the entry-level diesel version.

The new Passat can already be configured with a mild hybrid (eTSI) powertrain and a 110 kW (150 hp) turbo diesel (TDI) engine from autumn 2023.
