Siemens: ÖBB orders another 19 Railjet trains

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens has announced that the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) has ordered 19 additional Railjet trains from Siemens Mobility, in addition to the 8 trains initially ordered.


Featuring numerous innovations, the new Railjet train will initially run on the Vienna-Feldkirch line.

Without the locomotive, the nine-carriage train is around 240m long and seats 532.

The new-generation Railjet offers our passengers a true first-class travel experience and raises rail comfort to a new level, ÖBB Holding said.
