Mercedes-Benz: automated parking system approved

(CercleFinance.com) - Mercedes-Benz and Bosch have taken a step towards automated driving: The German Federal Motor Transport Authority has approved the use of their automated parking system in the P6 car park at Stuttgart Airport.


This is the first highly automated driverless parking function in the world to be officially approved for commercial use.

With the vehicle and infrastructure taking over driving and manoeuvring, drivers will be able to focus on other things, instead of spending time looking for a parking space and manoeuvring into tight car parks.
