BMW: builds factory in Hungary
(CercleFinance.com) - The group announces that the foundation stone has been laid for its new factory in Debrecen, Hungary.
The new plant, which required an investment of over one billion euros, will enable the launch of series production of the fully electric Neue Klasse in 2025.
The Debrecen plant will set new standards in the manufacture of highly innovative vehicles, BMW said.
The new plant in Hungary will play a key role in the transformation to electric mobility for both the BMW Group and its production network, it added.
