Roche: second licensing agreement with Jnana Therapeutics

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday US biotechnology company Jnana Therapeutics announced that it has signed a second licensing and collaboration agreement with the Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche.


In a statement, the Boston-based company said that the new partnership will focus on small-molecule drug discovery for the treatment of cancers, autoimmune diseases and neurological disorders.

The collaboration will involve several target compounds for diseases where there is a significant need for treatment, the biotech company said.

Under the terms of the agreement, Jnana will receive an immediate payment of 50 million dollars, plus future payments of up to 2 billion dollars, plus potential royalties if the products of the collaboration reach the market.
