Barry Callebaut: new medium-term forecasts

(CercleFinance.com) - Barry Callebaut has issued a new three-year medium-term forecast for 2023-24 to 2025-26, consisting of average volume growth of +4% to 6%, with EBIT growth of +8% to 10% in local currencies, with a further improvement in ROIC.


For Q1 2022-23, the group is targeting sales of 2.1 billion Swiss francs, up 7.2% in local currencies (+3.8% as reported), for sales volumes that are down 5.1% in a market. That overall is declining.

The Swiss chocolate maker explains the increase in its revenues by the rise in raw material prices and the inflationary environment, which it is managing thanks to its cost-plus model for most of its activities, as well as positive mix components.
