bpost: share up as investigation results reassure investors

(CercleFinance.com) - bpost shares continued to rise on the Brussels Stock Exchange on Monday, as the Belgian postal operator reassured investors with its latest comments on compliance reviews.


The three investigations - the conclusions of which have been handed over to the public services - have highlighted a number of malpractices and/or risks, the group acknowledges in a press release.

As such, bpostgroup says it "fully" recognises the need to assume its responsibilities and has proactively taken certain measures.

Based on legal and economic analyses, the company says it has booked a provision of E75m, well below what the market was expecting.

Regarding the negative impact on Ebit, the annual provision has been reduced to E10m, compared with a between E25m and E50m, as provided in April.
