GBL: to launch a LafargeHolcim convertible bond

(CercleFinance.com) - Groupe Bruxelles Lambert plans to issue 750 million euros of bonds which can be exchanged into existing LafargeHolcim shares, the Belgian holding company said on Friday.


GBL said in a statement that the offering will concern up to 13.4 million LafargeHolcim shares, representing approximately 2.2% of world's largest cement maker's share capital and 23% of its own stake.

GBL currently has 9.1% of LafargeHolcim's share capital.

The exchangeable bond will mature on 30 December 2022, it said.
