UCB: targets sales of E5.15-5.35bn in 2023

(CercleFinance.com) - The group's 2022 sales reached 5.
52 billion euros in 2022 (-4%; -7% at CER).

Revenue reached 5.14 billion euros (-6%; -8% CER), based on continued growth of UCB's product portfolio and the newly acquired product FINTEPLA.

Underlying profitability (adjusted EBITDA) reached 1.26 billion euro (-23%; -21% CER), reflecting lower revenues due to the loss of exclusivity and the integration of Zogenix.

Profit also fell to 418 million euros (-61%; -55% CER). Core EPS was E4.37, down a third from E6.49 in 2021.

UCB expects 2023 revenue of 5.15 to 5.35 billion euros. Underlying profitability, i.e. adjusted EBITDA, is expected between 22.5% and 23.5% of revenue. Meanwhile, it forecasts EPS of E3.40 to E3.80.

In 2025 revenues are expected to reach at least 6 billion euros, with underlying profitability (adjusted EBITDA) expected to be in the low to mid-30 percent range of revenue.
