Walmart: expands agreements with Symbotic
(CercleFinance.com) - Walmart and Symbotic, an AI-powered supply chain company, have announced an expanded business agreement to implement Symbotic's robotics and automation software platform in Walmart's 42 regional distribution centres over the next few years.
This is an extension of Walmart's commitment to deploy Symbotic systems in 25 regional distribution centres.
The technology's capability allows Walmart to get products on the shelves faster in its more than 4,700 shops.
While they weren't really flying off the shelves, Walmart shares were still up about 0.5% in pre-market trading today.
