Walmart: adjusted EPS target raised.

(CercleFinance.com) - Walmart has said that it is now targeting adjusted full-year EPS of between 4.
38 dollars and 4.46 dollars, against a previous target range - provided at an investor meeting last month - of 4.30 dollars to 4.40 dollars.

Over Q3, the world's largest retailer announced adjusted EPS that was up 2% at exactly one dollar, hence exceeding the consensus, despite operating profit that was down 7% at under 4.8 billion dollars.

Sales rose by 4.2% to 123.2 billion dollars (+3.8% excluding FX factors), including a 2.7% increase in sales on a like-for-like basis at Walmart stores in the US, thanks to a 1.5% increase in visitors to its stores.
