Urban Outfitters: largely beats consensus in Q2.

(CercleFinance.com) - Urban Outfitters had a solid second quarter, with the group unveiling results that are well above estimates before Wall Street opened on Wednesday.

Net income of the ready-to-wear chain came in at 49.92 million dollars, or 44 cents per share, compared with 76.92 million dollars, or 66 cents per share last year. Analysts were nevertheless much more pessimistic, EPS to fall to 36 cents.

Although down 2% from April-June 2016, at 873 million dollars, revenues also exceeded the consensus.
