3M: a solid third quarter.
(CercleFinance.com) - 3M has published excellent results, with the stock expected to rise on Wall Street this Tuesday after announcing quarterly accounts that exceeded the consensus.
Before the market opened, the US conglomerate reported EPS of 2.33 dollars, up 18 cents y-o-y. This significantly exceeded the 2.21 dollars expected by the consensus.
Likewise, sales rose from 7.71 billion dollars to 8.17 billion dollars, against 7.92 billion dollars expected by analysts.
Boosted by this sound overall performance, 3M has raised its annual EPS target and now expects 9 dollars and 9.1 dollars, against a previous target range of 8.8 dollars to 9.05 dollars.
