Tesla: bp invests $100m in its ultra-fast chargers
(CercleFinance.com) - bp announces that bp pulse, its electric vehicle charging division, has signed a contract with Tesla to purchase $100m worth of ultra-fast charging units.
This investment will enable bp to support the expansion of bp pulse's public network across the US, as well as to deploy chargers in private depots.
The introduction of Tesla chargers on the bp pulse network is scheduled to begin in 2024, with the first installation sites already identified in Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington D.C.
Combined with its extensive network of on- and off-highway convenience and mobility sites, this collaboration with Tesla will bring fast, reliable charging to electric vehicle drivers when and where they need it, the group said.
