Target: starts same day delivery in Twin Cities
(CercleFinance.com) - Target said on Monday that it will begin same-day delivery of over 55,000 groceries, essentials, home, electronics, and toys across the Twin Cities metro area.
As from 1 March, Target's Shipt unit will deliver from Target stores in and around Minneapolis and Saint Paul, the discount retailer said.
In late 2017 Target announced the acquisition of online same-day delivery platform Shipt for 550 million dollars in cash.
Target plans to offer Shipt's same-day delivery service from the majority of its stores, and in all major markets, before the 2018 holiday season.
