Salesforce: 6.5 billion takeover bid on Mulesoft

(CercleFinance.com) - Salesforce, the US giant of customer relations management, yesterday announced the launch of a 6.
5 billion dollar bid (in terms of enterprise value) on its competitor MuleSoft.

Floated about a year ago at a reference price of 17 dollars, MuleSoft (which has two share categories, A and B) will therefore be subject to a mixed offer, including 36 dollars per share in cash, and 0.0711 Salesforce share. Overall, this means 44.9 dollars per MuleSoft share, based on the share price of 19 March, and a premium of around 36% relative to this date.

Schematically, MuleSoft offers software solutions to exploit different data sources, wherever they are found (in the cloud, or on client servers, etc.).

The target already has about 1,200 clients, including major companies such as Coca-Cola, Barclays and Unilever.
