Qualcomm: ex-CEO not reappointed to board
(CercleFinance.com) - Qualcomm said that Paul Jacobs will not be re-nominated to the board of directors at the upcoming shareholders meeting this week.
The San Diego-based designer of mobile chips said it has made its decision following Jacobs's notification to the board that he has decided to explore the possibility of making a proposal to acquire the company.
Jacobs joined Qualcomm in 1990, climbing to the post of CEO and then board chairman.
