Qualcomm: raises dividend ahead of NXP acquisition
(CercleFinance.com) - Qualcomm said on Friday that it raised its quarterly dividend by 9%, citing optimism about the pending acquisition of NXP.
The world's biggest supplier of mobile phone chips said that it is raising its dividend to 62 cents per share, effective as of 21 March, from 57 cents previously.
This dividend hike will raise the annualised payout to 2.48 dollars per share.
"We look forward to closing the pending acquisition of NXP and expect the strong combined cash profile of Qualcomm and NXP to further strengthen our foundation for future capital returns for our stockholders," said CEO Steve Mollenkopf.
