Pfizer: to supply 30 million Covid-19 vaccine doses to UK
(CercleFinance.com) - Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech on Monday announced an agreement with the UK to supply 30 million doses of their Covid-19 vaccine project currently in development.
Recently, two of the companies' four investigational vaccine candidates received "fast track" designation from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
If the ongoing studies are successful, Pfizer and BioNTech expect to be ready to seek regulatory approval as early as October 2020.
The two companies plan to potentially produce over 1.3 billion doses by the end of 2021.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
