PepsiCo: to buy healthy snack maker BFY Brands
(CercleFinance.com) - PepsiCo said that it will buy BFY Brands, the maker of "PopCorners" snacks, in a deal that highlights the company's efforts to strengthen its healthier snack offer.
PepsiCo said that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire BFY Brands, which makes popcorn snacks, grain-free and air-popped crisps, as well as vegan snacks.
The addition of BFY Brands will expand Frito-Lay's snacking portfolio to offer consumers more positive nutritious options, Pepsi said.
The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
