News Corp: Q4 adjusted EPS better than expected
(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening News Corp posted a net loss of -7 cents per share for its fourth quarter, compared with -64 cents a year ago.
Adjusted EPS was seven cents, i.e. three cents above the consensus.
The media group saw its EBITDA fall by 14% to 269 million dollars, for revenues that are down 8% to 2.47 billion dollars, mainly due to adverse currency fluctuations and lower revenues in the book publishing segment.
News Corp posted FY adjusted EPS of 46 cents, against 44 cents in 2017-18, for revenues that are up 12% at 10.07 billion dollars, with the integration of Foxtel.
