Mondelez: targets 2% to 3% sales growth in 2019

4% y-o-y increase in Q4 net income to 823 million euros.
Adjusted EPS for the US agri-food multinational reached 63 cents, up 21.4% y-o-y, and in line with analysts' expectations. However, sales were less upbeat, falling 2.8% over the period to 6.8 billion dollars, in particular to the dollar's appreciation.
In addition, over full-year 2018, sales were almost flat (+0.2%) at 25.94 billion dollars, although are up 2.4% in organic terms. Likewise, operating income fell by 4.3% as reported, although rose by +4.9% in adjusted terms. Earnings came in at 3.61 billion dollars (+10.7%), with adjusted EPS of 2.43 dollars (+15%).
Regarding 2019, Mondelez has said that it expects sales growth of 2% to 3% in adjusted terms, as well as adjusted EPS that is up 3% to 5%.
