Merck: launches cash tender offer for Acceleron Pharma
(CercleFinance.com) - Merck today announced that it is launching a cash tender offer, through a subsidiary, to purchase the outstanding common stock of Acceleron Pharma.
Upon closing of the tender offer, Acceleron shareholders will receive 180 dollars in cash for each Acceleron common share. Acceleron will then become a subsidiary of Merck.
The tender offer will expire on 10 November 2021 and remains subject to certain conditions, including the tender of shares representing at least a majority of all Acceleron's outstanding shares.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2021.
