ManpowerGroup: fourth-quarter net profit up 70%

(CercleFinance.com) - ManpowerGroup reported fourth-quarter EPS of 3.
22 dollars, up 72% year-on-year. Net profit was 216.3 million dollars, up almost 70%, on revenues of 5.6 billion dollars (+14%).

The staffing and recruitment firm said results significantly benefited from the US tax reform, which added 1.10 dollar to EPS.

Besides, stronger foreign currencies relative to the US dollar contributed more than last year: at constant currencies, revenues rose 7%, while EPS increased 67%. Excluding net tax benefits and at constant currencies, EPS increased 8%.

Following this performance, Jonas Prising, Chairman & CEO said, "We are anticipating diluted earnings per share in the first quarter of 2018 to be in the range of $1.60 to $1.68”.
