Eli Lilly: 40% price cut for Insulin Lispro in US
(CercleFinance.com) - Eli Lilly has announced a 40% reduction in the list price of its Insulin Lispro Injection in the US effective from the new year (1 January), thereby returning to the price last charged in 2008.
The new pricing will apply to all unbranded insulins offered by Eli Lilly, the company said.
"Lilly has introduced numerous affordability programs since 2017. Collectively, these solutions are significantly lowering the out-of-pocket costs for people using our insulins," said David A. Ricks, Lilly's chairman and CEO.
"We hope this additional 40 percent cut can expand affordable insulin to more people with diabetes," he added.
