Intel: towards a stand-alone PSG business

(CercleFinance.com) - Intel has announced its intention to separate its Programmable Solutions Business (PSG), first by making it a stand-alone activity from 1 January next year, and then by taking it public over the next two to three years.
NB: pmt +2.5%.

Intel says that this separation is intended to enable potential private and public equity investments that will help accelerate the strategic repositioning of the business and generate substantial value creation.

Sandra Rivera will take the top spot at PSG as CEO, while continuing to lead Intel's Data Center and AI Group (DCAI) until a new leader is identified. Shannon Poulin has been appointed COO of PSG.

This announcement follows the IPO of the Mobileye business in 2022, as well as the private investments announced by Bain Capital Special Situations and TSMC in Intel's IMS Nanofabrication subsidiary.
