Intel: new global development center for Mobileye
(CercleFinance.com) - Intel said it has started the expansion project of the Jerusalem campus of Mobileye, its Israel-based autonomous driving unit.
Mobileye's new global development center marks the largest investment in Israel's history, the US chipmaker said.
When complete, the eight-story complex will span 50,000 square meters above ground and 78,000 square meters below ground and provide work space for 2,700 employees.
It is scheduled to open in 2022.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set the cornerstone for the project this week in Jerusalem.
